The Dumbing Down of America

“a serious look at why America is losing the smarts game”
I enjoy watching Jay Leno on TV as he interviews people in downtown
Los Angeles and posing elementary questions to them. Some of these questions, a normal grade school kid would know. Who was
our first President? Whose picture is on the $100.00 dollar bill? How sad that your 'citizen on the street' is baffled and
stumped by these questions. When 6-out-of-10 people get stumped by these simple questions, one might wonder where is America
heading? What future do we have as a country in maintaining our Number One nation status in the world?
Another project which I was a part of involves residents from Manila
and Singapore. A similar traction was applied where questions were posed to everyday, regular people, excepting of course,
that we wanted to gage their knowledge about America. Surprisingly, 7-out-of-10 knew more about our country and our history,
than their American counterparts. A rice farmer in the Philippines knew that George Washington was America's first President
and a food vendor in Singapore knew who John Wayne and Clint Eastwood were.
What is wrong? Do we have an education system problem? Are we teaching
or NOT teaching properly? Could it be in the water that we drink? Could it be in the Big Mac that we eat? What is making America
DUMB?
In my professional opinion, Americans are NOT DUMB. We are not LESS
SMART than the citizens of other nations. We have the finest education system in the world. We educate and train their citizens.
We groom them to become professionals and leaders in their own countries.
The problem, I fear is technology or modernization and our ability
to consume and absorb these real-time, instantaneous changes. Our human brain mass becomes OVERWHELMED and represent a digital
OVERLOAD. Some have called it socialized DISTRACTION.
Now comes the fixing part. How do we address this problem? How do
we make-up for our human shortfalls? In the digital world, one can simply ADD more memory capacity and speed. In the real
world, however...choices are not that apparent. Some friends have taken the short and inexpensive route of LIMITATION. I see
them going back to the basics and limiting their children's access to TV, Internet and Cell phones. Is LIMITATION the answer?
Many will reject this supposition as a future alternative. LIMITATION
may be an inexpensive solution but certainly unacceptable. Most will argue that limiting our mental growth, will severely
stunt our individual passion and creativity.
It is a scientific known that humans utilize a small fraction of our
brain…somewhere between 10-13%. Can we improve and enhance this capacity to say…35-45%? Will our physical metabolism
be able to absorb such telepathic infusion without going CRAZY? Will our minds accept this amount of infusion and still maintain
our equilibrium? The answers to these questions are YES and YES. We can enhance our mental capacity but our minds require
some conditioning. This is where telepathy and definition must be a catalyst.
As an avid junkie of telepathic and telekinetic paradigms, I have
designed a new exercise menu to allow people of different ages to expand their mental capacities. These simple exercises will
allow the subject’s mind to grow while stimulating his or her creative senses. A majority of the inventions in the 21st
century were found by accident, meaning the knowledge existed in the subconscious awaiting a legitimate trigger. “Hinatmi”
is geared with that premise and designed to modulate and trigger the subconscious.
